Welcome to the Rev. Rowena Mae MacGregor!
The Rev. MacGregor comes to us from St James’ Episcopal Church in Mansfield, PA, where she has served as rector for the past 15 years. Prior to that, she was the associate rector at All Saints Episcopal Church in Hilton Head, SC. Her new appointment will be as our priest-in-charge for the next three years, with the possibility during that time frame of us calling her as our permanent rector.
The process of selecting our new priest-in-charge began early this past spring, after Fr. Mike Kreutzer retired at the end of January. Our Rector Search Committee polled the congregation about what type of worship service and spiritual leader we wanted, developed our Parish Profile, and then sent it to the Diocese of Southern Ohio. Because of the on-going global pandemic and the problems it was causing, the St Mark’s Vestry decided to transition from a rector search process to a priest-in-charge selection process. Members of the DSO’s Transition Office reviewed our Parish Profile and selected the Rev. MacGregor as their top pick to be St Mark’s priest-in-charge. After reviewing the Rev. MacGregor’s experience and then speaking with her, the St Mark’s Interview Committee (the former Rector Search Committee) voted unanimously to recommend her to the Vestry. Members of the Vestry then reviewed her clergy portfolio, met with her personally at St Mark’s, and subsequently voted unanimously to select her as our new priest-in-charge.
We look forward to February 1, 2021, when the Rev. MacGregor joins us at St. Marks!

Our office hours are still being kept.  However, the Community Building is NOT open for all renters, and hasn’t been since April.  ALL groups suspended meetings in April.  SOME groups have come back, but all building users need to check with their respective group leaders about their group plans.
